Identify portfolio risks resulting from client's underlying business practices, underwriting, and/or fraud exposure. In addition candidates must be computer literate and numerate and able to demonstrate analytical thinking. The ability to work as part of a team is a key factor as is the capacity to work with little supervision.
Key Skills and Requirements
5+ years in the residential mortgage/financial services industry, experienced in holding/operating an underwriting mandate
Team player, who is supportive, reliable, responsible and adaptable
Ability to produce high-volume, high-quality output
Strong time management skills with the ability to multi-task
Attention to detail, with the ability to plan ahead and meet targets
Good keyboard skills
The work is normally carried out on the premises of the lenders or the loan servicers so contractors need to be able to travel and be willing to stay away from home whilst working.

The primary objective of the Skip Trace Specialist is to obtain new working phone numbers and new addresses to aid the Collectors in contacting debtors. The Skip Trace Specialist will also be responsible for supporting Associates and working independently. A successful Skip Trace Specialist will bring background knowledge of useful collection tools as well as a desire to investigate and improve on available resources. A cost/benefit understanding is necessary for new resources. Some accounts may require a high level of problem-solving skills to locate debtors. These debts consist primarily of home equity loans, lines of credit, purchase money 2nd mortgage loans as well as home improvement loans. The position will primarily use on-line resources but will also need to create opportunities through developing relationships on the phone. Job Description:
Our client in downtown Cleveland is searching for someone with consumer collections experience. Work to collect full amount of outstanding debt or identify and implement payment plans.
This position will go to full time but will start at approximatly 20 plus hours per week.
This position requires the ability to resolve outstanding billing issues, identify issues that have prevented the borrow from paying on time and set up plans to get them back on track.
MINIMUM of two years experience as a Consumer Collector (bank/credit union or mortgage).
Knowledge of loan collections (vehicle and personal) and also knowledge of collections for savings/checking accounts is preferred.
Knowledge of fraud and bankruptcy an absolute must
