Supervise and participate in housekeeping services including cleaning, mopping, scrubbing, sanitizing the floors and other surfaces as well as the refinishing, waxing and polishing of floors, tile work and other various floor and wall surfaces in stairways, hallways, restrooms, offices, laboratories, recreation and locker rooms. 


 


Ensure that common areas including conference rooms, lobby and waiting areas are sanitary, clean and free of trash and debris. 

Ensure that restrooms are sanitized, cleaned and stocked on a regular basis. 

Wash windows and polish special metal fixtures and surfaces such as nickel and brass work.  Clean, dust, and polish furniture and equipment, and wash and polish drinking fountains and other fixtures.  Empty waste and trash boxes. 

Take inventory of linens and supply linens to areas on a daily basis. 

Participate in the preparation of meeting areas for meetings, seminars, and other staff/client functions.

Supervise and train Housekeeping employees.  Recruit and interview applicants and make hiring recommendations to immediate manager.  Inventory and order supplies and equipment necessary for day-to-day operations.
Maintain up-to-date records for all state, federal and insurance semi-annual and annual inspections. 

Negotiate with vendor suppliers and obtain at least three (3) bids on all amenities.

Identify and define problem areas and develop innovative solutions that result in sound decisions.

Make recommendations for improving laundry services and request needed items.

Maintain M.S.D.S. sheets, rounds sheets and inventory sheets for laundry & locker supplies and cleaning schedules.

Help maintain security by checking doors that are routinely secured while on rounds.

Report damage, needed repairs, and security issues to appropriate personnel.

Perform routine inspections on all areas of facility to ensure all systems are in proper working condition.

Facilitate a teamwork approach, combining the expertise and manpower for the completion of projects.

Provide a safe and healthy environment for employees, members and guests.

Translational Imaging Industrial Laboratory (TIIL; part of Singapore Bioimaging Consortium), is a new initiative from Singapore’s A*Star (Agency for Science Technology and Research), providing global biopharma companies with a high quality and state-of-the-art array of preclinical imaging resources directed at enhancing the efficiency and pace of the drug development process.

 

The Laboratory is currently seeking to recruit an experienced MRI Physicist to join our team. The in vivo imaging laboratory assists in drug discovery programmes and focuses on the validation and development of imaging and spectroscopic methods for a number of disease areas, including cardiovascular diseases, oncology, and metabolic disorders.

 

Particulars:

As part of TIIL, this role will support the development and implementation of MRI methods in order to understand mechanism(s) of drug action, drug efficacy, and safety, and long-term outcomes. These methods may then be incorporated as part of the drug discovery program, ranging from target identification to therapeutic application.



We are looking for a highly motivated individual, who can work independently in a fast-paced environment. This person will collaborate in multidisciplinary teams across disease areas and will keep meticulous records. Responsibilities for this position include performing in vivo MR experiments, analyzing and integrating related data, summarizing results for reporting and publication, and daily operations of the laboratory.

 

Qualifications and Expertise:

The desired candidate will:

• have an MSc or PhD or equivalent in Medical Physics, Biomedical Engineering, Biomedical Sciences or related fields, with at least 3 years of industrial experience

• have an advanced knowledge of the area of MRI physics and applications

• have a working knowledge of C/C++

• have experience with MR imaging and spectroscopy

• have experience and expertise in pulse sequence programming and applications development

• have digital image/spectroscopy processing or graphical/visual programming skills (Matlab, Analyze, IDL)

• have experience in performing small animal MRI experiments - Animal skills, such as handling, restraining, anaesthesia and injections (IP, IM, IV) in rodents and rabbits

• have familiarity with FDA and QSR regulations

• have the ability to communicate and collaborate with members of a multidisciplinary team

• have the ability to follow directions and perform tasks with continuous attention to detail and safety

• have good communication skills to be effective in a global organization

• must be able to provide at least three references to support qualifications

Primary responsibilities, specific duties:

We are seeking an individual to contribute to the success of our biomarker core function unit. The candidate will be required to apply both novel and established assays to measure response biomarkers in human samples from multiple disease indications (i.e., oncology, autoimmune, neuro-degenerative.) A significant portion of these samples will come from patients enrolled in Eisai clinical studies.

Perform ELISA, FACS, ELISpot and Multiplex analysis on both clinical and pre-clinical samples with primary purpose of monitoring response biomarkers as well as potentially identifying novel predictive biomarkers;

Learn, acquire and apply new experimental techniques. Develop and optimize assays for use in testing clinical samples;

Interpret results and present them to the group and project teams;

Utilize literature searches to solve specific research problems;

Archive clinical samples and oversee sample inventory;

Maintain laboratory equipment and train others in its use.
Qualifications/Skills:

BS/MS degree in biological science (immunology, cell biology, pharmacology, etc.);

3-6 years of relevant work experience in a pharmaceutical or biotech company or CRO;

Ability to work on multiple tasks and work with other members of a project team;

Able to clearly communicate ideas and results (both verbally and in writing);

Job Details:   The Clinical Research Nurse has multiple responsibilities related to clinical research studies coordinated and managed by the Center of Innovation and Research.  These responsibilities may vary according to study protocol; and the primary activities include – 1) assisting in the evaluation of new protocols for feasibility at the site, 2) preparing the site for conduct of the study such as establishing study files and training study-related staff, 3) disseminating study information to physicians and ancillary departments, 4) preparing the Institutional Review Board (IRB) submissions, 5) performing informed consent process with potential subjects, 6) coordinating study conduct throughout the trial, 7) screening and recruiting subjects, 8) gathering and recording study-related data according to protocol, 9) overseeing drug/device accountability, 10) maintaining regular communications with sponsors and/or CROs and IRBs, and 11) collaborating with other departments providing study services. Oncology and research experience preferred.

Position Summary:  Postdoctoral position - Llin�s lab

The Lewis-Sigler Institute for Integrative Genomics seeks applicants for the laboratory of Dr. Manuel Llin�s. Dr. Llin�s' lab is applying a variety of approaches to investigate 1) the molecular mechanism of transcriptional regulation in Plasmodium falciparum and 2) large-scale parasite-derived metabolic processes and interactions. We are using a variety of high-throughput genomic approaches to analyze the role of transcription factors during parasite development. The lab also applies a variety of biochemical and genetic approaches to dissect these regulatory processes and to characterize their genome-wide interactions.

In addition, in our metabolomics work we are utilizing HPLC-MS/MS to specifically quantitate metabolite levels throughout the parasite lifecycle.

The Lewis-Sigler Institute for Integrative Genomics, housed in the Carl Icahn Laboratory at Princeton University, was established to innovate in research and teaching at the interface of modern biology and the more quantitative sciences. It is very well set up for bioinformatics and genomic approaches to Plasmodium biology and has excellent support facilities.
