Journeyman Welder, Gas - General Construction
This is an IBEW Local 1245 represented classification, which has over 100 years of experience representing employees at PG&E. This job is subject to collective bargaining.
Job Summary
Journeymen Welders are expected to assist the foreman with planning and executing the days work to ensure the safety of the crew and the public while focusing on productivity.
Work is predominantly outdoors and in all weather conditions. The individual must be able to drive safely, work extended hours, travel/transfer to new headquarter upon request at anytime, and wear company provided Personal Protective Equipment.
This position is a DOT covered classification and is subject to random drug screening.
Responsibilities
Install, repair, maintain, weld, fabricate and upgrade gas transmission and pipeline and distribution piping
Perform welding using various weld processes
Perform welding in construction and maintenance of pipeline facilities using various hand tools such as but not limited to tape measures, protractors, levels, framing squares, straight edges, and power cleaning tools.
Must lead and provide a productive team environment
Maintain tools and equipment
Must work safely at all times as defined by PG&E's safety standards and procedures
Must be able to read and comply with all required company standards and work procedures
Minimum Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must possess a High School diploma, GED or equivalent work experience
Must possess a valid California Driver's license or ability to obtain within 10 days of hire
Ability to work in all types of weather extremes
Ability to drive safely in all weather and road conditions
Positions available in San Francisco, San Jose and Bakersfield CA.

We are looking for a kind loving Au Pair, to help look after our little girl. Our daughter is 4 years old . We live in a lovely family home in the leafy area of Central London and can offer our Au Pair a bright, spacious, self-contained bedroom with en suite bathroom.
The qualities :that we are look for in our Au Pair is someone who is kind and caring and has relevant experience with children of similar ages to ours. Equally, we would love to hear from an Au Pair who comes from a God fearing family with lot's of brothers and sisters. Our Au Pair should be a team player who is understanding and straightforward with us, and fun loving with the child.
General duties: will require planning the child day, cooking for the child and keeping her toys and clothes tidy, and general up keep of a clean and tidy house. Our daughter is at a local nursery so our Au Pair would also need to help with the school run.
Hours of work would be: Monday to friday 8.30am - 4.30pm with one night a week of babysitting and one weekend night a month of babysitting. It would be beneficial to have someone who is flexible, as we are a busy and active family. Sometimes this means that the
schedule changes, but we are fair and this would work both ways.
We would need our Au Pair to stay for a minimum of 1year, and would consider having someone who wanted to stay for a longer period of time.
We had a really happy experience with our last Au Pair and look forward to welcoming a new member to our family.

We are currently seeking Fabricator Set-up Welders to join our team on 2nd shift. The starting rate is $18.37/hr plus $0.50/hr shift differential. Incremental increases thereafter. Full benefits package available.
Candidate will be required to pass a series of weld tests in order to be hired.
Responsibilities:
Review material allocated for fabricating assignment with specifications given on Bill of Material or drawings.
Performs all necessary set-up operations preparatory to layout, cutting or beveling and also for welding when related to the job assignment.
Performs all layout operations relevant to the fabricating assignment, using tools as necessary.
Performs all necessary burning, cutting and beveling operations necessary to establish the correctness of length, bevel, and size of hole as relating to the job assignment. Does own chipping and removal of slag from burning or beveling operations.
Uses proper tools, fixtures or other devices that may be necessary to set up and align such fittings and align from drawings within required specifications and tolerances.
Skills/Requirements:
Experience welding both MIG and TIG required
Proficient at reading blue prints, weld symbols and bill of materials required
Must be able to use overhead cranes
Experience with Pressure Vessels, Heat Exchangers, Piping and ASME is highly preferred

Our Anchorage campus is rapidly expanding. We are looking for Welding instructors who have the commitment and drive to help students achieve their dreams.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare and provide all lecture, laboratory and clinical instruction according to the required curriculum.
Follow current course outlines, objectives, and evaluation mechanisms for the program and/or develop such when indicated by the President.
Maintain a lesson plan of daily instructional events.
Monitor student attendance and retention and document as required by the administration.
Grading assignments, returning graded assignments to students, and assigning final grades for all students in a timely manner.
Provide educational assistance to students during regularly scheduled times (i.e., office hours) or by appointment
Substitute in classes when necessary.
Advise students as it relates to school policies, satisfactory performance, etc. Maintain communication with Dean of Education regarding such activity.
Submit in writing current textbook, supply, and equipment needs to the Dean of Education.
Monitor all equipment and supply inventory in locked facilities.
Secure consumable supplies as well as educational materials from administrative office when needed.
Maintain professional appearance.
Communicate with Dean of Education on all issues related to students.
Maintain professional expertise (faculty development) to meet accreditation standards by attending educational seminars in professional field, reading current literature, attending online courses, etc.
Ensure that students follow the catalog guidelines daily.
Attend all scheduled mandatory meetings.
Serve on committees (e.g., curriculum development, retention, etc) as assigned based upon expertise or campus needs.
Perform other duties as required.
Requirements
THIS IS A PART TIME (ADJUNCT) POSITION - AND OUR FIRST CLASSES WILL BE STARTING IN AUGUST, 2011.
WE ARE SEEKING INSTRUCTORS FOR THE FOLLOWING SHIFTS:
9:00 A.M. - 1:00 P.M. (MONDAY-THURSDAY) or
6:00 P.M. - 10:00 P.M. (MONDAY-THURSDAY)
Minimum Qualifications:
Three (3) years experience working as a welding professional with Associate of Applied Science Degree (A.A.S.) in Welding Technology or no experience with a Bachelor of Science Degree (B.S.) in Welding Engineering Technology or equivalent related field.
AWS CWI certification along with welding vocational/technical training with pipe and structural welding certificates and (3) years experience in inspection or fabricator QC will be considered.
Broad knowledge of welding applications, procedures, specifications, industry codes and standards, and applied metallurgy
Proficient computer skills
Effective oral and written communication skills
