- Licensed Architects

The Studio Director role is aimed at developing strategies that will successfully engage and support the growth and development of Paraa’s Architectural Consultancy; which is aimed primarily at strengthening Paraa’s social work of supporting various cultures in the UK and Bangladesh. A new area for Paraa, the Director will focus on developing the network values, practice project portfolio, marketing strategy; PR, competition strategies and overall architectural vision for the consultancy arm of Paraa. The successful candidate must be experienced in negotiating building contracts and developing a revenue model that supports the continued growth of this area. The Studio Director will also lead the consultancy’s design team, manage building procurement, as well as project manage and job run. The Director will also contribute to Paraa’s Architectural Research and Development arm.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Professional qualifications in graphic design or architecture
Designs a strategy to aid the growth and evolution Paraa
Serves as liaison to Paraa’s Board of Directors and committees. Works closely with the various community engagement managers/key project stake holders in planning activities, programs and delivering building projects.
Maintains communications with Paraa, community organisations & cultural enterprises- encouraging long-term relations.
Experience travelling to / visiting other countries to lead and conduct business meetings
Track record of work for organizations dealing with minority groups/cultures or non-profit
Demonstrated skill in successfully delivering design projects/buildings aimed at minority groups; specifically of an architectural/design nature. Awareness of the dynamics of other cultural norms, values and behaviour patterns
Experience in Event management and organization required.
Experience of negotiations / contract development with private and public businesses and clients
Experience of negotiations/contract development with minority groups/cultural agencies
Experience in building design and construction delivery
Architectural research experience and interest in Culture, Architecture and Identity
Excellent oral and written communications skills
