This role requires both excellent Network Firewall (Checkpoint) and IT Security technical skills and well as first class customer service skills, with the ability to expertly engage with clients / users up to and including Board level.
The role of IT Security Analyst / Engineer, will consist of the following:
- Project work consisting of the evaluation, deployment and maintenance of the firms IT Security systems and Internet connectivity solutions. Must be willing to take ownership of a project from the initial concept through to final deployment, as well as the on-going support.
- Implementing changes and patches within the various security systems that support the end user IT environment. This will include mobile devices, desktop, notebook and thin clients.
- Provide support documentation and cross train for the systems within the IT Security remit.
- Maintenance and support of the existing Network Security and Internet communications systems and pre-emptive problem resolution with the overall aim of enhancing IT service delivery.
- Analysis of event logs for a variety of systems to maintain and alert management of potential security threats.
- Management of third party suppliers and vendors to ensure adequate service level delivery.
- Knowledge of relevant compliance and regulatory requirements for the firm as a whole, as well as providing specific advice within IT department and potentially for client related transactions as and when requested.
- Follow up support calls escalated from 2nd and 1st line support. These 3rd line calls can inevitably be more involved and will require an in-depth knowledge of both operating systems, applications and computer or mobile device hardware.
