Tully Sugar Limited operates a large, efficient sugar mill, producing raw sugar and renewable energy in Tully, North Queensland.

The Company and its operations are highly regarded in the Australian Sugar Industry.​ Depending on seasonal conditions Tully Mill now crushes an average of 2.​0 million tonnes cane per year.​ Tully is located approximately halfway between Townsville and Cairns and is adjacent to the popular Mission Beach area.​
Tully Sugar Limited has an opportunity for a full time appointment for suitably qualified candidates as an Analytical Supervisor reporting to our Chief Chemist.​

Formal qualifications in applied chemistry or a related field or experience in a similar position is essential.​ Proficiency and experience in computer operations is also required, including spread sheeting, word processing and database management.​
The position during our crushing season involves being responsible for the day to day operation of laboratories and product sampling, supervision of analysts and their rosters, ordering supplies and WH&S requirements.​ Duties also include the recording and maintaining of factory performance figures, reporting factory performance and sugar quality parameters for factory control.​ The successful applicant will work day work hours although the factory operates continuously during the crushing season and some weekend work may be required.​
Applicants must be willing to participate in the Company’s Fitness for Duty program which includes drug and alcohol testing prior to employment.​ Wage level paid will depend on skills held and will be discussed with suitably qualified applicants.​

TheSr. R&D Balloon Catheter Engineer will be responsible for developing and managing multiple projects. This position requires a candidate with product development experience in the medical device arena specializing in PTA and PTCA catheters.

Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will:
• Be responsible for the technical development of catheter based products from concept through to completion.
• Manage multiple projects, budgets, and associated resources.
• Develop innovation solutions to optimize design and fabrication.
• Develop and qualify processes to produce and assemble catheters.
• Prepare, manage, and execute equipment installations, process qualifications and product validations.
• Identify and interact with vendors to obtain materials and equipment.
• Develop relationships with customers with a view to identifying and quantifying further opportunities.
• Maintain product files and other relevant documentation to comply with quality standards.
• Other duties as assigned

Key Requirements:


5+ year’s industry experience in a medical R&D product development environment. Experience in PTA/PTCA catheters
3D modelling and drafting experience using Solid Works.
Working knowledge of biocompatible metal and polymer materials
A BS in engineering, scientific degree, or equivalent
Must show proven capability to have excellent communication skills, motivation and be proactive
